V. Anbalagan hails basically from an agricultural family. Belonging to an area where the farmers dared not to venture beyond the boundaries of their farms, he has entered the tricky rural agro based tapioca starch and sago business at the age of 24 and with a grit and determination he has built a business with a combined turnover of about Rs.95 crores (2007-08) starting with just Rs.5 lakhs within about 20 years.
He is highly enterprising in attitude and innovative in Industrial Management.
His industrial performance in Sago (Sabudhana), Starch & Modified Starch Industry was recognized by the Government and
honored him with prestigious awards such as
“Best Industrialist” (Government)
“Best Quality Manufacturer” (Government)
“Rashtriya Rattan”
“Udyog Pragati”
“Best Industrial Performance” (Government)
Punjab National Bank, former Banker for the group has honored him with the “Best Customer" award.
